John Petsel, known artistically as “QP,” draws inspiration from a lifelong connection to creativity. Growing up in Iowa, he was influenced early by his grandfather, a longtime merchandising artist for the Iowa State Fair. Those roots shaped his artistic foundation and sparked a passion for illustration and design.
In his early career, QP created marketing illustrations and design work for the University of Iowa, honing his craft and building a versatile visual style. His journey then led him to Colorado, where he entered the world of custom cycling apparel, blending technical precision with artistic expression.
Now based in Omaha, close to family, QP collaborates with independent brands, producing distinctive artwork, design pieces, and merchandise. His work brings together storytelling, bold visuals, and a commitment to crafting something truly unique for every client.
